Where are you from?
Woolerton. The part where I’m from, people call it Lego Land because it looks like all the buildings are made out of Lego.
What’s it like?
Well we’ve got a good part of the area and we’ve got a bad part of the area. It’s all right, not too much goes down in my area.
What do you think of miners?
Everyone’s their own person at the end of the day; some people are good, some are bad.
What do you think of old people?
I think they look down at kids nowadays because there are a lot of bad things that are happening. They look down at you, even if you’re not a bad person. They think bad of you before they even know you. I feel sorry for them though because they’re intimidated when they walk past a big group of people.
What do you think of Polish people?
There’s a lot of people coming in from different places. Doesn’t bother me.
What would you like to see in the future?
I don’t wanna see gun crime and all the drugs and everything because when I’ve got kids I don’t want my kids to be involved in all that. I don’t think it’s changing though, if anything it’s getting worse.

What do you think of miners?
They’re friendly, some of them. Some of them can be very ignorant, but most of them are okay.
What about people who rob people?
Such as myself? Muggers are just ordinary people, just like me and you. Maybe they’re going through a hard time where they have to make a move and mug someone. It’s wrong, but that’s Nottingham. Nottingham people will always get mugged.
What about old people?
They just mind their own business and get on with what they’re doing. Every Tuesday they get their pension and go out to the market, buy toiletries, bread, milk. They’ve lived their lives so they don’t get in our way. The only time they get in our way is when there’s loads of them on the bus.
Polish people?
They’re friendly. Some of them are sexy. I’ve never seen a Polish dude apart from one who lives near me. He tries to fit in but he’s not known so he has to hang out with the much younger people on my street.
What do you hope for the future?
I’d like to see the killing all stop ‘cos no one likes to see people dying at the end of the day.
If you could invent something so you wouldn’t have to live in an economically deprived area, what would it be?
I’d like to invent a multi-million pound business that will just take over the whole music industry or maybe something that could change the weather so it’s sunny all over the world.

It’s all right. I like it.
What do you think of miners?
Don’t know really, never spoken to them.
What do you think of old people?
I like my grandma, so I don’t mind them.
What do you think of Polish people?
They’re the ones that do the weird dances, right? I don’t know much about them apart from that.
What would you like to see in the future?
I’d like to see someone invent a car that’s like a miniature aeroplane so it can fly, but it’s small, like the size of a car.
What about the future of your area?
I’d like people to get on more. I’d also like to see new buildings. Personally, I’d like to be successful in my job. I’m studying law at the moment, so I’d probably like to do something to do with that.

Kind of rough, innit, but it’s all right most of the time.
Do miners still live there?
I don’t see them around.
And there’s a lot of Polish here now, right?
They look pretty normal but they speak funny, so it’s annoying.
What’s your relationship with old people?
I don’t like them. When they are queuing up for buses and you push in they always seem to moan.
What do you hope for the future?
Less gun crime in Nottingham.
And an invention to improve the future?
Mixing decks where you can mix with CDs and records at the same time, but on the same deck. Oh yeah, it could also mix MP3s on the same deck too.

It’s a good area, it’s pretty posh.

They’re nice, never had any trouble.
Miners?
They’re cheeky. I can’t repeat some of the stuff I’ve heard them say.

I don’t know any Polish people?
If you had an invention that could improve the area where you live, what would it be?
A toilet seat that wipes your arse.
