A Cool Magazine Is Having a Party for Cool People in Brooklyn Tomorrow

Kοινοποίηση

Would you like to celebrate the release of Gigantic magazine‘s fifth issue? Duh. Of course you do, and so do we. The new issue, Gigantic Talk, looks real pretty and features a ton of great new fiction, art, and poetry, plus a pretty cool interactive feature. Where is this shindig happening? you might be wondering. The Silent Barn in Bushwick, Brooklyn, at 8 PM tomorrow. The event’s gonna feature readings from the issue’s contributors Marie-Helene Bertino, Sparrow, and Anna Wiener; a performance by Atlanta-based rapper Bluntfang, whom VICE has called one of the “rap game vanguard“; and DJ sets from DJ Chipotle and Gigantic editors Lincoln Michel and James Yeh.

Oh, yeah. There’ll be cheap booze and past issues and tote bags and literary babes drinking cheap booze and dancing the night away with their awesome new tote bags. Just go already… Jesus. In the meantime, check out their online Halloween Mini-Monster Issue.

Founded in 2008, Gigantic is a magazine of short prose, art, and interviews. With an emphasis on formal constraint and the innovative use of language, we have published, in print and online, the work of emerging and internationally recognized contributors, including Robert Walser, Lydia Davis, Etgar Keret, Lynne Tillman, Ben Marcus, David Berman, and Raymond Queneau; art by Thomas Allen and eteam; and unconventional long-form interviews with Sam Lipsyte, Gordon Lish, Julie Hecht, Malcolm Gladwell, Tao Lin, and Gary Shteyngart.
