21 Savage Stars in His Own Slasher Film with His “All The Smoke” Video

21 Savage’s Savage Mode tape with Metro Boomin established him as a consistently dark, menacing character. It proved to be an effective shift from his earlier work in which his voice would fluctuate from a high-pitched yelp to his now signature monotone drawl. Now, it seems like the Atlanta rapper is continuing to run with the style he and Metro carved out. Today, 21 released “All The Smoke,” a Southside-produced track that sounds like it could have easily fit on Savage Mode.

The song also comes with a video consistent with his dark persona. In the Matthew Swinsky-directed clip, 21 takes on the role of a Jason Voorhees-like figure from Friday the 13th, as he crashes a party of four’s camping trip, taking them out one-by-one. There’s also an uncut version that doesn’t blur out him very graphically cutting a woman’s head off. Watch that one at your own risk. See the slightly-less bloody version above.
