The last time we checked in with Philadelphia trans/queer grind thrash hellraisers +HIRS+ (pronounced Heres), we ended up having an intense conversation about survival (and why pornogrind sucks). Since then, the duo—who proudly refer to themselves as “A collective of freaks and faggots that will never stop existing”—have toured the West Coast, releaed the super-posi Sexxy Flexxxi, confirmed a show opening for Melt-Banana, and somehow found time to put together their second full-length.
The Second 100 Songs LP compiles the last batch of songs the band released on various limited releases, and actually features one hundred and one songs, just because +HIRS+ loves you but still wants to fuck with you a little bit. Like everything they do, this second album is awesome, and they’ve even snuck a totally warped Nirvana cover in there.
