The Weeknd’s Video for “King Of The Fall” is the Most Toronto-iest Video in the History of Toronto

Toronto artists releasing videos that are set in their hometown isn’t a new thing. In fact, some artists have gone to great lengths to prove their allegiance to the city, going as far as dropping the roof on the Skydome, or riding through the financial district on a vehicle that colour co-ordinates with their outfit, or visiting Scarborough. But The Weeknd just took it up another level by giving viewers a POV look at his Queen Street West life pre-House of Balloons. Watch as Abel stomps through the city, making stops at Queen and Spadina, The Palace, and Parts & Labour. Note the cameo appearances by Jazz Cartier and Derek Wise of Get Home Safe, and Teddy Fantum.

The video was shot and directed by Kid. Studio, the same guys who made the God Bless Toronto project.
