Listen to "Cafe Du Monde", the First Single from Pell's New Album

Pell yeah!

Jared Pellerin, aka Pell, a songwriter, rapper, and producer from New Orleans is the newest artist to reinvent NOLA hip-hop. Born and raised in New Orleans before moving to Jackson, Mississippi when his family was displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Pell rapped on the side while working day jobs and rose to prominence last year following the release of his first album, Floating While Dreaming - the idea for which literally came to him in a dream.

We're premiering "Cafe Du Monde" below, the first single from his forthcoming record Limbo out in November in partnership with Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio's label Federal Prism. Evolving from the unconventional cloud rap of Floating While Dreaming, "Cafe Du Monde" (produced by Sitek) has a much harder sound that pushes those initial comparisons to Chance The Rapper and Childish Gambino at arm's length and propells Pell into his own league. It's impressive and catchy as hell. Listen below:

Limbo is released on November 6 and available to pre-order now on iTunes.
