Good morning, America. Throughout the Olympics, we'll be providing you with morning previews about the action in Rio, with a focus athletes from the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Here's what to watch for today, August 18, 2016.

The following events will all see medals awarded today:

In track and field, we've got the men's and women's 400-meter hurdles, men's shot put, the women's javelin, the men's decathlon, and the men's 200-meter finals. The decathlon, an extremely dope event, features the U.S.'s Zach Ziemek, Jeremy Taiwo, and Ashton Eaton along with Canada's Damian Warner. The men's 400 hurdles features Puerto Rican Javier Culson and the U.S.'s Kerron Clement (pictured). The women's 400 includes the U.S.'s Dalilah Muhammad and Ashley Spencer. American Justin Gatlin didn't qualify for the 200-meter finals, but his teammate LaShawn Merritt and Canada's Andre De Grasse did. They'll have to hold off Usain Bolt if they want to win gold.

Badminton will feature the finals of both the women's and men's doubles tournaments.

Beach volleyball will hand out medals to the men today. After the German women upset the Brazilians in yesterday's finals, the Brazilian men will have some added pressure to defeat their Italian challengers.

Boxing will have medals in the men's bantam, middle, and light heavyweights and the women's fly. The U.S.'s Shakur Stevenson (pictured, missing high on an earlier opponent) will fight in the men's bantam semi final at 7:30 PM local time. He'll fight Vladimir Nikitin, who is widely suspected to have won his preceding bout thanks to match fixing. Good luck, Shakur…
