In 2002, seven years after the release of GoldenEye, Wayne Michaels’s 220 meter bungee jump from the opening scene of the movie was voted the best movie stunt of all time in a poll for Sky Movies. At the time, it was the longest fixed-point bungee jump ever. (There are at least two longer since.) In short, the stunt is one of the most iconic scenes in any action movie, a special feat for a career that’s perennially underappreciated.
Of course, jumping off the Verzasca Dam in Switzerland has been a popular pastime for thrillseekers ever since. Above, we have a lovely group of normal (read: not tuxedo wearing) bungee jumping types, who took the leap a bit more than a week ago. The quintet consists of Angerfist, Crypsis, MC Prozac, Chain Reaction, and Bodyshock. Yep, that’s MC Prozac, and yep, that’s a remix of a Moby remix of the James Bond theme for the soundtrack. It really doesn’t get much more extreme.
