After Winning the Stanley Cup, the Blackhawks Partied with Tiësto

Chicago's not a half bad place to celebrate becoming world champions.

It's safe to say that Chicago, the home of house music, is not a bad place to celebrate winning the Stanley Cup. ICYMI, last night, the Chicago Blackhawks won the biggest title in all of professional hockey. Naturally, the team wanted to celebrate their victory in fine form. After reportedly ordering a buffet of pizza and beer to their raucous locker room (and hopefully showering), the Blackhawks decided to take their entire squad to one of Chicago's top hubs for partying and big beats, The Mid. A Dutch man, and known NYC Ranger hockey devotee, Tiësto, provided the soundtrack to their glory-filled night with a surprise, last-minute set.

Many ecstatic Chicagoans wanted to join in on the celebration, and feverishly monitored the #cuptracker hashtag on Twitter to see where the glorified chalice would end up that night. The lucky ones would fined themselves at The Mid, where the Grammy-winner and most of the players were partying their way 'til dawn.

This is hardly the NHL's first run in with dance music. One-time New York Ranger Sean Avery and current as well as former Phoenix Coyote (and current AHL Monarchs left wing), Paul Bissonnette, were known to be huge house and trance heads. For a time, they were regulars in Vegas for all the right reasons.

On a night of celebration, it's unlikely that anyone noticed that the DJ is actually a really big fan of the Rangers. Your secret is safe with us, Tijs.
