Turns out flying turtle shells are just as destructive to vehicles IRL as they are in Mario Kart, as one woman in Florida found this week driving along Interstate 4, FOX reports.

On Monday, Nicole Bjanes was driving along the highway in Deltona, Florida, when the car in front of her hit a turtle that was apparently trying to inch its way across the busy roadway.
The turtle went airborne and—before Bjanes could swerve out of the way—the reptile crashed into her car, flying through her windshield like something straight off of Rainbow Road. Bjanes was OK, and was treated for minor abrasions following the crash. The turtle miraculously survived the whole ordeal and was barely phased.
Window smashed and turtle lying dazed on her dashboard, Bjanes did what any normal person would do in this situation—she shot a few photos and posted them on Facebook. “So this happened today! On I4 he lived and I’m ok just shaken up!!! CRAZY,” she wrote.
