Amrit’s New Tune “Blow” Is a Lithe Little Number

Here’s what you need to know about Amrit: she’s an Anglo-Indian pop star who hails from Perth, Australia, but currently resides in NYC where she spends her time DJing and making music like her killer debut cut “Lies”—which marries an nimble melody with a wonkily, wonderful kind of synth-pop. Her next song, “Blow,” is premiering below and exemplifies the perfect synthesis of her Indian roots and modern pop cool. It’s the second song lifted from her debut EP, which has been produced by sene (of denitia & sene), so you know it’s gonna bang.

“That line—’Often I’m guilty of things that fulfill me, but shouldn’t be in me from jump’—and the whole song is really about doing whatever you want and not giving a fuck. Maybe you shouldn’t, but who cares, at the end of the day it’s your life. It sounds cliché but, you should really do whatever makes you happy.”
