We found that moronic blog about sitting on babies a little bit ago, and shortly thereafter an intern in our Berlin office realized that he was sincerely into crushing. (Where do we find these people? Can someone normal please apply?) It got so serious that he grew himself a nice little fetish. Through the internet, where misled dreams are exonerated, he found his dream girl, Sandy, and interviewed her.
Vice: Hi, when did you first discovered that you enjoy crushing things?
Sandy: A few years ago. I helped a friend of mine clean up his attic, and while doing that we found some stuff of his childhood. Trucks and little cars, that kind of stuff. He wanted to throw it all away so I had some fun for my own and stepped on the things before he got rid of it. I really enjoyed it and I told him Iwould like to help him again if he finds more stuff. Half a year later he brought a bunch of more stuff.

Alright, but crushing things is an expensive hobby, isn’t it?
I got back in touch with crushing about half a year later on the net. So I set up a hompage by myself and people just send me stuff they want to see being crushed by me. So I upload pictures and videos of the destruction on my page. Everyone gains from it.
What’s the kick of destroying things?
I have this amazing feeling of power. On one hand It’s crushing the toy itself because this little piece of plastic has no chance against my weight, and on the other hand it’s the power over the guy who owns the stuff. To make a grown man suffer just because I can. That’s the kick.
What about your fans?
It is a kick for them as well when they give me something precious. He would like to keep it, so imagining that it will be destroyed makes him shiver.
So it’s more fun to destroy something with emotional value?
Things that had been built by them on their own tempt me the most. Some kind of trash is rather boring.
What kind of people are into crushing?
Completly normal people. Buisness men, students, teachers, entrepreneurs, and so on.
These are no sick individuals. I have met too many crushing fans to think that. I guess everyone has an extravagent imagination and for some people it’s crushing.
What was the biggest thing you crushed?
The biggest and most expensive thing must have been a model boat. It was about a meter and a half long and was worth 3,000 Euros, I guess – not calculating the hours this guy worked on it. I crushed it completly, first by sitting on it, and then I kicked it to shreds.
Did you ever crush something you weren’t allow to?
Often. That’s something I enjoy the most. From time to time I receive something from people who expect me to work on it just a little bit, but when I am in the mood I destroy it totally.
The attraction of the forbidden?
Yes, there is this kind of temptation for me when I know that the giver’s heart is broken somehow but he can’t be angry at all because he willingly gave it to me.
And then they start to cry?
It happened to me a couple of times that the owner was there when I crushed his things, and some asked me not to–even begged me–not to step on it. I have to admit that it is a pleasure for me not to listen to them and just tell them “too late” when the thing is totally crushed.
