A few months ago, we made a documentary called Noisey: Blackpool. And though we at Noisey are a modest crowd, we will say this: as well as being the film that defined a generation, Noisey: Blackpool has been enormously influential over the youth of the UK.
We know this because today, the Metro reports that #teen Haman Harim has been excluded from school simply for getting a cool hairdo. And though at no point do the family explicitly state that he was the inspiration, Haman’s hair does look EXACTLY THE SAME as another famous ‘do: that of the Eminem of Blackpool grime, Little T. Can you say #impact?

Harim’s mum Sharon says that after he got the haircut two months ago, Haman was removed from his classes and placed in ‘pastoral’ care, as the ‘do was said by teachers to be “affecting his education”. She continued:
I knew he was getting the perm and I didn’t think that would be a problem, but obviously he got the sides done too. I thought it looked okay, but he had a grade one or two on the sides and that’s why he ended up in pastoral. It’s going too far. They keep bringing the hair up all the time. They say he’s got to have it all blended.
Noisey would like to officially stake our support for Haman. Though Little T might not have been your actual reason for getting this hair, mate, anyone who looks like the Greatest Rapper Alive is a friend of ours. Solidarity.
