PREMIERE: Watch Crushed Beak’s New Video For “History.”

If there were a UK version of Beach Fossils, Crushed Beaks would be it. The duo are set to have a big year ahead of them—with a release of their debut album Scatter later in the year. Although the band started as a duo (Matt Poile on vocals and guitar, and Alex Morris on drums) they’ve recently recruited Scott Bowley to flesh out the band’s sound on bass for, what seems to be, an amazingly layered and loud debut album. The album was recorded in Rome with Fabio Frizzi, who is a film composer who wrote the soundtracks for the horror flicks, City of the Living Dead and The Beyond. We’re premiering the video for “History” below, which focuses on the the tragically beautiful greyness of England, and features striking shots of the YSL-model looking frontman. There’s also something about the chorus of this song that makes your heart ache, in the best way possible. Scatter is out in the US on May 11 via Matilda Records.
