“Lil Wayne is an artist I think we show each other a silent mutual respect over the years,” Twista told me earlier this week when I got him on the phone to talk about his new album Crook County. For proof, look no further than the fact that Wayne borrowed a Twista beat to rap the line, “If there’s something she’d like to say I let her say it on my microphone.” As for Twista’s take? “He still killed it,” he said.
