Deamonds Gets Rough and Raw on this Exclusive Amy Becker Approved New Mix

We’ve been admirers of London based producer Alex Deamonds for a while now here on THUMP, and given the quality of his productions, remixes, and DJ sets, that shouldn’t come as a surprise. The East London Club Trax boss’ synthesis of Dance Mania’s grubby-but-great grit, Jersey Club’s banging bedsprings, the low end burbles of bass music, and instrumental grime’s acidic abstraction is why he’s become such hot property on the circuit of late, and probably explains why he has shows on Rinse, NTS, and Radar.

Just the other week we brought you his banging remix of a DJ Haus classic, which was part of Amy Becker’s fantastic RMX EP, and we’re equally delighted to be bringing you this exclusive mix. Here’s what Deamonds had to say about the mix, and himself:

“I’m 26, from East London, I’m a DJ/Producer as well as working full time. I run East London Club Trax and also help run Track and Field with Dean Lyon, Neana and P Jam. I frequent the main underground radio stations every month in London (Rinse, Radar, NTS). Overall been DJing since I was 13 and making stuff for about the last five years. This is a mix I recorded for Amy of some tunes I’m feeling at the moment.”

We’re very much feeling it too. Check out the mix below.

The Amy Becker RMX EP is out now. Listen to it on Spotify here, or snap up the 12″ over here.
