Every Wes Anderson Supercut Becomes One Meta-Wes Anderson Supercut

There is certainly an argument to be made for the supercut short film: they allow editors to show scenes from a movie in unique succession, allowing for comparisons and connections that might have otherwise gone unnoticed—it’s like making a trailer except you don’t have to worry about spoiling the movie for. Supercuts are a place to refresh your memory of a film that was watched maybe years ago, to relive memorable moments and avoid paying the twentysomething dollars it costs to go to the movies with someone now.

Magnalux Pictures, however, has taken a little more of a jaded perspective to the medium in A Supercut of Every G*ddamn Wes Anderson Supercut on the Internet.

Seen here, we have a demonstration of the compulsion Magnalux Pictures calls, “A tribute to the internet’s fascinating obsession with the world’s foremost kitsch filmmaker, Wes Anderson.”

The video’s description has a light disclaimer reminding you where the content is coming from: “All footage stolen entirely from other people who stole entirely from the internet’s most prized and cherished director, Mr. Wes Anderson, and his beloved filmography.”
