Fly From Tokyo To San Francisco In 83 Seconds With An Airborne Timelapse

San Francisco naar Tokyo

On every flight we’ve ever taken, the fantasy of owning a teleportation device has crossed our anxious and impatient minds. We love traveling, but minus the literal process. Thus, this airborne timelapse by YouTuber psp747 is a tantalizing tease that imagines a world where all planes come with a fast-forward button. In the short clip, a trans-pacific flight from Tokyo to San Francisco becomes a soothing, minute-and-a-half voyage through the clouds.

The plane follows the Earth’s eastward rotation, giving a glimpse into a incredibly short solar cycle, as the sun rockets up from the clouds after a mere 8 seconds of night time footage. The footage is almost too amazing to enjoy, as we know that flights around the world will still leave sore backs and short tempers. Watch the timelapse above and imagine a better world where all flights are this short and tranquil. Don’t blink, though—you might miss some of the relaxing sky vibes.
