Over 50 music industry heavyweights including Stormzy, Jessie Ware, Nile Rodgers, and Craig David came together to release a charity single in support of people affected by the Grenfell Fire today. They recorded a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water” as Artists for Grenfell, and all proceeds will go toward The London Community Foundation.
At least 79 people are missing and presumed dead following a fire at the Grenfell Tower public housing building last Wednesday, June 14. Hundreds of protestors gathered in London on Friday, June 16, demanding justice for the fire’s victims.

Rita Ora, Jorja Smith, Queen’s Brian May, and Emeli Sandé are also among the artists that participated in making the song. An ensemble of 300 members of local choirs and residents also took part; the entire thing was organized by TV personality Simon Cowell.
