Signed to London indie-label Because Music (home of other acclaimed multi-genre electronica acts like Metronomy, Little Dragon, and Django Django), Stratford-raised Denai Moore is making some heavy waves with her soul-latching style of R&B. Now, her latest single to emerge from debut album Elsewhere (out April 9), “Blame,” has been given a chilling remix courtesy of UK drum and bass legend High Contrast.
Choosing a production style far away from the lighters-in-the-air assault we know and love him for, HC turns up the feels on his remix for Moore, adding emotional pads beneath a steady looping of Moore’s sensual vocal hooks. To put it lightly, this little number is an easy 9/10 on the THUMP Official Feels-o-meter, which just at this very moment became a thing.
