Holy shit this trailer is everything. Based on a true and honestly wilder than fiction story about a porn king, his protege and an ultimately gruesome murder, King Cobra has all the makings of a cult hit. I was psyched before they even got to the cameos from Alicia Silverstone and Molly Ringwald. Christian Slater is at his greasiest. James Franco is playing the jacked up porn enthusiast we all secretly know him to be. It’s like a gay porn version of Spring Breakers.
Before the Flood

Fences
Based on an August Wilson play, Fences looks like a perfect vehicle for watching Viola Davis and Denzel Washington just fucking ACT. I got a legit shiver. I’m not going to say I have any idea what really happened in this trailer, it kind of looks like someone dies and Denzel is maybe a shitty father? But who cares, it’s already nominated for 10 Oscars.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back
Full disclosure I did not watch the first Jack Reacher movie because I heard a rumour that Tom Cruise wore very high lifts in his shoes to appear taller because the novel Jack Reacher is a giant and real life Tom Cruise is a whatever is the polite way of saying midget. But I also am obsessed with Tom Cruise and no one can dispute that he’s the last true movie star so yeah, I’d reconsider my stance on Jack Reacher. Worried about his face though. Also, Tom you need to go see Suri!
Personal Shopper
Personal Shopper had a lot of buzz at TIFF and even though I can’t understand one single mumble out of Kristen Stewart’s mouth in this trailer, people say she’s pretty good in this edgy thriller directed by Olivier Assayas. I think it’s about a French ghost.
