Jerry Sandusky’s Son Arrested on Charge of Child Sexual Assault

Jeffrey Sandusky, the adopted son of former Penn State defensive coordinator and convicted serial child abuser Jerry Sandusky, was himself arrested for sexually assaulting a minor. Jeffrey Sandusky, 41, was arraigned Monday morning in Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania, the same town where his father’s scandal erupted in 2011. State police began investigating the claim last November, when it is alleged Sandusky sent text messages to a teenage girl, including a request for nude pictures.

Sandusky was dating the girl’s mother and actually lived in their house for five years. The investigation began when the victim’s father became aware of the texts and alerted police.

Police said Sandusky told the girl, named victim #1, not to show the text messages to anyone else, and further advised the girl to erase the alleged messages and that none of his “s—” gets mentioned to anyone or seen by anyone. According to court documents, the girl replied, “No, we don’t need to talk and we aren’t going to. You did what you did and I’m not going to give you a chance to try and justify it. You literally tried to guilt me into doing it and you even told me specifically what I ‘needed’ to do. You know who does that? Rapists and abusers, not (redacted) who care about their (redacted). I don’t know how many times I need to tell you no and to stop before you get it.”

The victim told investigators that Sandusky made sexual comments to her before and that “he is always looking at me in weird ways, staring me up and down.”Court documents indicate there is a second victim, who alleges she also received text messages in “March and in the years before that made her upset.”

Sandusky was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer or filming sexual acts.

Bail was set at $200,000, and Sandusky is prohibited from any contact with minors.
