Since his TNGHT project with Hudson Mohawke went on indefinite hiatus in 2013, Montreal producer Lunice has been pretty quiet musically, only hinting at a debut album in a handful of interviews. After record label LuckyMe confirmed the LP was finished on Twitter yesterday, today the Canadian artist shared the first taste of CCCLX, “Mazerati.”
According to a press release, the sinister, minimalist track was recorded in Lunice’s Montreal studio, and mastered by S-Type. He worked on the forthcoming “dark modern rap record” and accompanying “uniquely dramatic, operatic live show” with local Quebec MCs and a team of creatives.
