Report: Rick Ross Hospitalized Following a “Medical Crisis”

According to reports from TMZ, Rick Ross was taken to a hospital after he was “found unresponsive” at his home in Florida on Thursday morning. Billboard confirmed with the local police department on Friday that the “medical crisis” took place and that, according to a 911 call, Ross was found “slobbing from the mouth” and “nodding his head” after attempts to wake him.

Police told Billboard that they arrived at Ross’ residence at 3:43 AM on Thursday and left four minutes later and “speculate” that they didn’t “get involved” because no police report was filed.

Ross has occasionally dealt with seizures over the years, including a period in October 2011 when he suffered from two seizures on flights. He ultimately blamed those issues on a lifestyle that prevented him from getting him an adequate amount of sleep.

Ross’ current condition is unknown, but the original TMZ report suggested that he’s receiving treatment for respiratory issues that are possibly pneumonia-related. Noisey has reached out to Ross’ team for comment and will update this post with more information as it becomes available.
