Meet the Artist Keeping Traditional Knowledge Alive Through Urban Moosehide Tanning

For this episode of Common Good, we travel north to meet artist Tania Larsson, co-founder of Dene Nahjo, a group of young Dene who are pushing to keep Indigenous traditions alive in the Northwest Territories and outlining the crucial need to learn about their own culture in our current time.

We travel to downtown Yellowknife to find out how they teach cultural activities such as moosehide tanning and tool-making workshops, and how these activities connect the students to each other and their ancestors.
