Mexico Is Going to Win the World Cup Because Snoop Dogg Is on Their Side

According to most analysts, Mexico is a bit of an underdog heading into the knockout round of the World Cup. A lot of people didn’t even have them pegged to go that far. But while that may be the case, they’re also the underdogg, which is what you become when Snoop Dogg is on your side.

Tomorrow, Mexico plays the Netherlands, generally considered a superior team, for a chance to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals. While many pundits might have assumed Snoop would side with the Netherlands, due to the country’s stance on his favorite pastime, the LA rapper posted a series of pictures of himself on Instagram in Mexico’s “Charlie Brown” jersey. Sure, it may have had something to do with the fact that Snoop was at an event promoting Adidas, which makes Mexico’s jerseys (the USA ones are made by Nike). But still, he sat on a motherfucking Soccer Throne, which is what you win when you win the World Cup, proving that Mexico will win the entire tournament. Plus, our colleagues at Noisey Mexico were amped, and we’re inclined to agree with them.

See, there’s a difference between rolling up to a branded event wearing a jersey and posting a picture of yourself wearing that jersey with the caption “Wake n bake.” Snoop does not waste blunts on teams not worthy of the good fortune he brings. He’s sipping on win and juice, you might say. Let’s hear it for the underdoggs. Here’s Snoop’s full Mexican jersey photo shoot:
