After releasing his EP I Was Young via Olympia Records and his own imprint Bedroom Dubs last year, Montreal-based artist Mind Bath (aka Michael Brock) has shared a self-directed music video for the title track.
Co-produced by the ever-prolific Project Pablo, the song sees the vocalist wistfully recalling an encounter with a former lover, with the latter’s fragile falsetto starkly contrasting the former’s bass-heavy percussion patterns. Shot on an iPad and edited by his Cafe Lanai bandmate Forever, the intimate B&W clip features several of Brock’s closest confidantes in various states of lounging.

“I wanted to shoot video portraits. There is so much beauty in my friends and collaborators,” he told THUMP over email. “From behind the camera, filming them in their bed, I could showcase that in a pure way.”
Watch the video above and expect new music from Mind Bath later this spring.
