Neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville sparks nationwide counterprotests

Protests erupted across the U.S. after a neo-Nazi march in Charlottesville, Virginia, escalated into violence on Saturday. The “Unite the Right” march drew hundreds of white nationalists and resulted in dozens of injuries as khaki-clad neo-Nazis clashed with protesters. The rally turned deadly when a car allegedly driven by a neo-Nazi protester killed a 32-year-old woman.

Events protesting the “Unite the Right” march were held in Washington, Memphis, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, and several other cities.
