Kaytranada is scheduled to play the Nou La Haïti charity concert at Théâtre Corona in Montreal this Thursday, with proceeds going to helping the southern Haitian families affected by Hurricane Mathew earlier this month. The fiercest Caribbean storm in nearly a decade, it left 1.4 million people in need of humanitarian assistance according to the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, with Reuters reporting 1,000 deaths.
Presented by non-for-profit organization Muntu Foundation, the night will also include DJ sets by Montreal artists FOXTROTT and Pierre Kwenders, and performances by the producer’s younger brother Lou Phelps, Illa J, Nomadic Massive, and more. A signed copy of Kaytranada’s debut album 99.9% will be one of the prizes at a silent auction that’ll happen throughout the evening.
