A Poo Leak in a Venue Toilet Stopped Don Broco Playing a Gig

I am a grown adult with a Master's degree and I am here to tell you: there is nothing funnier than poo. Poo, poop, shit, number two. It is the height of comedy. Show me a person who does not laugh at a poo joke, and I will show you a miser.

As a music blogger, it is not often that I get to share stories about The Funniest Thing in the World, but today I am blessed with a rare gift: a music-related poo story that it is actually sort of legit to write about on Noisey. We give thanks to the respective Poo and Music Gods for working together on this one.

Basically, extremely average band Don Broco's Oxford show got cancelled because the venue, Oxford's O2 Academy, had a toilet leak. To put it simply, shit went everywhere. And that created a health and safety risk. As the band said on Twitter, "Gutted the venue wouldn’t let us play tonight. Circumstances were out of our control. We will reschedule. Thank you for understanding. Brb."

When they did briefly come on stage, as one fan captured on video, they announced "We're not allowed to play, because there's a very very real health and safety risk. Because apparently a lot of you are currently standing in human faeces." You really have to respect the nonchalance there: "apparently a lot of you are currently standing in human faeces," delivered with the same amount of energy you might reserve for "apparently someone's double-parked outside and our merch van is blocked." The fans, evidently, were not amused. You might say, if you were extremely funny, that it is a bit of a shitter!

(Do you get it? Do you get my joke? It's because shit – like, poo? DO YOU UNDERSTAND?)
