Artists Show Us Their Interpretations of Indonesia (Pt. 3)

We asked artists from Indonesia and abroad to show us what comes to mind when they think of this incredibly varied country. Today we're presenting another five of our favorites, including works by Stevie Anderson, Pleasure, and Ade Deni Ramdani.

This is the third in VICE Indonesia's ongoing series spotlighting some of the best artists from the archipelago and abroad. In today's installment, we start with Stevie Anderson, a U.K.-born artist who now lives in Bali. His illustration takes cues from the island's fabled leak—a fearsome creature that sucks the life from those unlucky enough to cross its path.

Pleasure is a seven-person artists collective based out of Jakarta. These friends say they are trying to get people in touch with their "innermost geek."

Bima Rizqi is a visual artist who goes by the name Thebearland. His work often touches on the social concerns of today.
