Dive into a Dream World with Noah’s New Track “Unspoken”

The pressure of being called everything from “the mellow moment of Laplux, on the background of Burial’s loneliness” to “the ghost of Aaliyah” during the early years of anybody’s musical career can seem a little much, but 27 year-old Japanese artist, producer and composer Noah keeps on doing her, and to great results. We’re premiering “Unspoken” above, which is taken from her forthcoming debut full length Siviutie (Finnish for “side road”) – a concept album that dives into a dream world, exploring the nuances of imagination, sense, and feeling as much as it does new sounds.

Growing up in Chitose, on the island of Hokkaido Prefecture, northern Japan, Noah’s early experiences of natural environment as well as the urban rumblings of 90s trip-hop and r&b have had a cinematic effect on her style. “Unspoken” gently blends influences that she has carefully absorbed, and that introspective process of considering the world around you is what makes this track so great – it communicates the gratification of being blissfully alone.
