In a word, the last day of Pitchfork Music Festival can be summed up as “Teenfork.” Kids took over on Sunday, whether stanning for Earl Sweatshirt–who delivered a solid set despite warnings of exhaustion–headliner Kendrick Lamar or his TDE affiliate ScHoolboy Q. Teens also arrived in masses to see electro-pop overlord Grimes–whose set included ribbon dancers, new songs, and a new lavender-dipped platinum hairdo–as well as Hudson Mohawke, Perfect Pussy, Dum Dum Girls, DIIV, and Speedy Ortiz. Not all of it was innocent though: a group of 14-18 year olds hopped over one of the fences to see Earl Sweatshirt and in the process knocked over a porta potty with someone inside of it who allegedly ended up with a bruised ribcage. Aside from that fiasco, the festival’s Big Rap Day went relatively smoothly. Photographer Ellie Pritts was on the scene, capturing everything from Kendrick to the crowdsurfing at Deafheaven and Slowdive’s reunion.
