Jeff Fisher is less a person right now than a stand-in phrase for ‘mediocrity at best.’ It’s unclear how he brewed up a special batch of failure this year, but it always seems to be the right formula for holding on by a thread. Because after hanging drearily at 4-7 so far this season—and not holding a record better than .500 since 2008—he just signed an extension for two more years on his contract.
