Chilean label Drumma Records is marking its fifth anniversary and 15th release with the help of two of its country’s finest exports.
Drumma’s Melo De Melo EP features the production debut of Ricmho, the duo of minimal techno kingpin Ricardo Villalobos (who grew up in Germany but was born in Chile, so it still counts) and Santiago veteran Luis Ordenes, aka Umho. Their friendship dates back 20 years, and they’ve often gone back-to-back during DJ sets. The EP was recorded last winter in Berlin while they were on tour together. A-side “Por Suerte” shows Ricmho in collaborative mode, and the title track on the B-side stars Villalobos in solo mode.
