American synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani is the subject of A Life in Waves, a documentary set to premiere at SXSW 2017, as part of the Austin, Texas multimedia festival’s film series 24 Beats Per Second.
Directed by Brett Whitcomb, Bradford Thomason, and Ali Clark, the intimate doc will look at the musician’s expansive career (including her relationships with mentor Don Buchla and friend Phillip Glass), with archival footage and a catalog of Ciani’s original music.
