We’re kinda in love with everything about this new video and song by Aussie twin brothers Andy and Toma Banjanin. Fresh from supporting Albert Hammond Jr. and Gary Clark Jr. (they only fuck with Jrs. dontcha know), the pair drop this video for “Too Slow.” We also premiered their last one, we dig them that much.
Whereas the video for “Tidal Wave” was a kaleidoscopic animated trip, this one looks like it was filmed in Warhol’s factory. Observe! The cream suits (sourced from various East London secondhand stores). The plush harmonies! The sly bongos! The way the melody surges back in with barely 30 seconds left. And hey, can we steal those round shades please? It’s a dazed, psych-pop beaut.

The boys had this to say about the video: “We were heading off on tour and really needed to make a video for ‘Too Slow.’ We only had three days till we were leaving, with no concept and no money. I just happened to be watching Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon and he was surrounded by all of these mirrors, fighting Han to the death and it was perfect.I started calling up a couple of places trying to hire some big mirrors but it wasn’t working out and was going to cost like four times our budget. Long story short, we bought a whole bunch of mirrors and when we finished recording, just took them back and said that my girlfriend didn’t like them.”
And that’s just one reason why Tempesst are gonna go far. Resourceful kids. Bravo. Watch their video below.
