The Bruce Lee Band, Mike Park’s punk/ska project, is actually officially named B. Lee Band, due to legal issues with the estate of Bruce Lee. Apparently, it didn’t sit so well with the Lee family. Well, after a long hiatus, Park and co. are back to ruffle some more feathers, this time with the Washington Redskins. “We’ve Got the Money, We’ve Got the Money,” off their new EP, takes a dig at the NFL franchise and their flagrant use of a racist team name.
On this EP, Community Support Group, Park is joined by Bomb the Music Industry!’s Jeff Rosenstock as well as members of The Chinkees and Shinobu for five unapologetic punk/ska jams. The EP will be available on January 28 and you can pre-order it here instead of buying those Redskins tickets on Stubhub. They’re not even close to the playoffs, anyway. They were terrible this year. Karma, yo.
