The Falcons Are Picking The Buccaneers Apart

On third-and-ten from his own 11, Tampa Bay quarterback Josh McCown threw an interception to Kemal Ishmael and Ishmael returned it 23 yards for a touchdown. The return put Atlanta up 21-0 with 2:47 left in the first quarter, so it’s safe to say the Falcons have been clicking since the game began. On the opening series, it took the Falcons six plays and roughly 3 minutes to score their first touchdown. It was damn near the easiest drive you’ll ever see.

On the possession immediately following the interception and touchdown, Tampa Bay fumbled it on the second play of the series. That gave them three turnovers in the first quarter alone. Atlanta took over at the Bucs 35 and began driving again until Tampa got a brief reprieve with the end of the quarter. But then Devin Hester took an end-around 20 yards for another touchdown on the first play of the second quarter.

This is already ugly, but it could get grotesque.
