Unfortunately, unless your name is on the side of some building in Midtown, you probably don’t have a pool in your backyard if you live in the city. (No, the puddle in the overgrown lot behind your building where the cats fight at night doesn’t count.) But, why would anyone want a pool? We want pools, dude. Plu-ral. Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner? We don’t know. But ResortPass knows that a lot of hotels sit around with extra space at their pools while a lot of sweaty locals lament their lack of an accessible swimming hole. Depending on the temperature on a given summer day, sometimes we’d gladly fork over a few 20s for the chance to spend hours lounging in the shallow end, spritz in one hand, sausage in the other.
So, how does it work? If you become a ResortPass member, you get access to pools, spas, and other sweet amenities at tons of luxurious hotels in cities and towns all over the country. It’s kind of like the friend with a pool that you had as a kid—if your friend had the same pool as a multi-million dollar hotel baron or luxury resort tycoon, and it was located in the center of downtown Manhattan. Basically, you can pool hop without having to book a room or having to sneak your way in—not that ending up on a security camera half-naked trying to scale a fence isn’t cool; we just think court is a drag.
