Louis van Gaal Wants Manchester United to be "Horny" for Soccer

Get frisky out there, Manchester United.

Manchester United have had a rocky go of it this season under second-year manager Louis van Gaal. They did not make it out of the Group Stage of the Champions League and have been playing in the Europa League since then, where they lost the first leg of their matchup with Midtjylland 2-1 last Thursday. They are without their star goalkeeper David de Gea, who injured himself warming up before the Midtjylland match and he does not appear ready to go for tomorrow's second leg. But Louis van Gaal just may have a secret weapon and it rests within the loins of his starting 11.

""We have to keep the ball better and we have to move the ball quicker – that's always what we have to do. Desire … it is a great word. I often use the word 'horny' with my players."

Sex and the sports world are often intertwined (nice) but usually it's a matter of repression. We all know the superstition about how boxers aren't supposed to have sex before a big match—to refocus that pent up desire on his or her opponent, but van Gaal seems to be telling his players to embrace the sexiness. Get frisky out there and look at victory as not just a noble goal, but something to be courted, with LVG standing under the balcony whispering to his players just the right plays to make it happen.
