Vaccines are cool. Just ask Olivia Rodrigo.

On Friday, the White House released a video of the pop star and Dr. Anthony Fauci responding to tweets about the COVID vaccine. You know, like the kids do.

The unlikely pair talked about the need for young people to get vaccinated while breaking down the connection between the number of chills you might have from the second dose and how many times you’ve listened to “Deja Vu” today.

They also spoke about music: The best concert Fauci ever attended, he told the singer, happened to be a Motown concert in the 1950s. “That’s incredible!” Rodrigo exclaimed, as Fauci added, “I’m so old, I’m sorry.”

Rodrigo unpacked what “Man Crush Monday” meant for President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, after one user wrote “Happy Man Crush Monday to this hero.”

“If Man Crush Monday makes you get vaccinated, go for it!” Fauci told Rodrigo.

On Wednesday, the beloved Gen Z pop star went to the White House to meet with Biden to help convince young Americans to get vaccinated. She made a surprise appearance during the daily press briefings and filmed PSAs for the cause.

From rampant vaccine misinformation to the politicization of COVID, Biden has faced an uphill battle trying to get Americans vaccinated.

According to the CDC, only 42.1 percent of 18-24-year-olds are fully vaccinated. The Biden administration’s latest vaccine push comes as the highly contagious Delta variant has become the dominant strain in the United States, and it’s hit younger people hard in places like Springfield, Missouri.

On Friday, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said the current situation in the U.S. is “a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
