Boy, is this one a heartbreaker. Everyone’s favorite LA Dodger was hit hard last night both on and off the field. According to CBS Los Angeles, Yasiel Puig’s home was burglarized overnight—seemingly simultaneously as his team was losing 5-1 to the Astros in a decisive Game 7 of the World Series.
According to CBS Los Angeles, an LAPD watch commander said that the windows of his Encino-area home were smashed, and various items were taken. The value of the items were not on public record yet. TMZ reports that once the burglar smashed the window, the alarm went off, panicking the burglar who managed to grab just a few items of jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Puig was also robbed of $500,000 worth of jewelry in March in his previous home. He had just purchased this home in October. It’s doesn’t sound like this latest break in is as bad, but what an impossibly rough night for Puig.
