Stream Physical Therapy's Very Strange New Techno EP

Not the kind of beat you'd drop at your cousin's Bar Mitzvah. Unless your cousin likes DMT and dropped out of art school.

If you're not up on Physical Therapy it's time to get acquainted. While he initially got our atttention with a slew of crafty bootleg remixes and a string of top-notch Brooklyn warehouse parties, the DJ and producer has begun to pursue more original projects, exploring everything from (what he calls) "dream house" and "3-step" to snarling, maximal techno.

To put it briefly, the Yes, I'm Elastic EP is not the kind of record you'd drop at your little cousin's Bar Mitzvah. Not unless your little cousin is a DMT-soaked Berliner with an unfinished art school education. "Elastic" is an interesting choice of word for a record that feels not only stretchy in an onomatopoeic kind of way—with rubbery, synthetic noises morphing in and out of complete nonsense—but stretchy in its approach to genre boundaries and traditions. Its five tracks loop gritty analog techno grooves like endless mantras, layering chaotic arpeggios and white noise blasts over chunky drum machines. The Yes, I'm Elastic EP marks Physical Therapy's first release on Fifth Wall and it's available now on wax and digital. So hit play, lock in and get ready for a feeling that will rock your body like any good Physical Therapy session should.
