If there's one thing we do well in here in the UK, it's a charity single (not permitting the weird racism in the original "Do They Know It's Christmas"). And in our grand tradition of putting lots of pop stars in a room for a good cause, a group of the UK's favourite musicians (and James Blunt) have gathered to record a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water," to benefit the survivors of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The full group of performers includes *deep breath* Stormzy (who opens the track with a heartfelt original verse, where he reflects on the events of the blaze), Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Bastille, Rita Ora, Liam Payne, Emilé Sande, Kelly Jones of the Stereophonics, Paloma Faith, Louis Tomlinson, Jorja Smith, Labrinth, WSTRN, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, James Arthur, Roger Daltrey of The Who, Ella Eyre, Anne-Marie, Ella Henderson and Louisa Johnson. The track was organised by Simon Cowell in the wake of the fire, and £0.76 from each donation will go to The London Community Foundation, who are supporting victims. You can listen above and buy the single here.Follow Noisey on Twitter.(Image via YouTube)
