The Chainsmokers Announce Their Debut Album

The recently Gramny-nominated Chainsmokers today announced their debut album as well as an extensive North American tour this spring. The news follows a series of tweets by the duo yesterday hyping some “really exciting” upcoming news, and also arrives hot on the heels of their recently released video for “Paris.” It is not yet confirmed whether that single will be on the album.

Although they haven’t released the official album title, the tour is called “Memories: Do Not Open.” It will span 40 dates, kicking off in Miami at the American Airlines Arena on April 13 and closing out on June 10 at the Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NY. Tickets for the tour went on sale today at 3 PM EST.

Along with all this new information, the duo also tweeted that they have updated their live performance significantly. “Anyone who has been to a show of ours before this is gonna be unlike anything you’ve seen from us! Live music x dj set production is WAY UP,” they said.

Although they have claimed to just be “two dorky dudes,” THUMP has previously wondered whether The Chainsmokers are just frat bro dudes in disguise.
