Senator Marco Rubio is sadly not up for reelection any time soon, but for some reason, he is still campaigning. In an apparent attempt to appeal to millennials, the Florida Republican posted a new video where he discusses his thoughts on Kanye West’s new album, which he has not listened to, as well as the Drake and Pusha T beef. The video was paid for by “Marco Rubio for Senate,” but he has four long years until he’s up for reelection, so why is he doing this?
“I don’t know anything about Kanye West’s new album,” Rubio begins, which makes you wonder why this video was produced at all. Calling West “an interesting guy,” the 47-year-old senator confidently explains, “Actually, he’s in the middle of that Pusha T and Drake fight.” Tripping over his words he continues, “Cause he uh, pra, uh —Drake comes from uh, that whole thing is complicated. Bottom line isn’t I haven’t heard it but I, uh, I know it’s out there.”

Indeed.
“I look forward to hearing it at some point. Maybe it’s down at the White House—they got an advanced copy,” he says.
The album is out, actually, so Rubio can listen to it anytime he wants. Noisey called it “his most challenging project to grapple with to date.” I hope Marco Rubio revisits this national issue after he gets a chance to listen. I would sincerely love to hear his take.
