Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. is one of Noisey’s favorite albums of the year, a record of biblical challenges, hard-to-find salvation, anxiety, and 14 more examples of Kendrick being the greatest rapper alive. The record’s also given us some of 2017’s most daring and brilliant videos in “ELEMENT.,” “DNA.,” “LOYALTY.,” and “HUMBLE.” This morning, Lamar released the video for “LOVE.” It’s directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies (Dave Free and Kendrick himself), just like “HUMBLE.” and “LOYALTY.” Again, it’s brilliantly ambitious and cinematic. The video details a decaying relationship, sliding between a home and a beach, close-ups and wide shots. Watch it in full at the top of the page.
