Digital Collages Use 3D Shapes to Create Psychedelic Animals

Tigre

Shining pink and purple bubbles, bright blue doughnuts and red-orange tubes come together as one in the mind of Mexico City-based artist Julian Bonequi to create a surreal—yet lifelike—tiger.

His other digital creations are no less mind-boggling. From the noble stag to the lowly grasshopper, Bonequi’s mind captures normal animals and transforms them into hyper-detailed psychotropic beings from another reality.

And then there’s whatever this is:

Elephant

The detail involved in each of Bonequi’s 3D compositions captivates the eye, making even the most mundane joint on the leg of an insect into a point of intense interest.

Bonequi’s artistic mind is also constantly occupied with noise and improvisation.  Check out his sounds on [Soundcloud] and his videos on [YouTube], or look for more of his digital art on his [website].  All of his works are a little piece of beautiful chaos, perfect for distracting you from those Monday afternoon blues.
