The Dum Dum Girls Get Tatted Up… Again

Dee Dee doing a selfie. Selfie. Selfie. Selfie.

I don’t have any tattoos. This is in part because I don’t love any image enough to have it needled into my flesh, but it’s also because I’m a wuss. I’m not even pierced. Anywhere. However, I fully approve of people who have the balls to commit to ink, like The Dum Dum Girls, who recently spent some time at the Sailor Jerry House in Austin, adding some more permanent art to their bodies. You know what else they’re committed to? Black. They love black more than Wednesday Adams. They love the night sky more than Dracula. They love ebony attire more than Robert Smith.

Really, this is just an excuse to print pictures of The Dum Dum Girls looking foxy, in black, getting tattooed. And to also point you towards TDDG’s new video for “Are You Okay?”—which is less a pop promo and more a cinematic short with a narrative written by Bret Easton Ellis. Watch the video and read all about the behind the scenes process and Dee Dee’s difficult year (which inspired much of the new record) here.

Or just look at these shots pics below.
